In 1984 he was hired and brought over to Switzerland to sing lead vocals and write songs for the Swiss rock group Stormbringer featuring guitarist and producer Angi Schiliro. They recorded one Album together and toured extensively thru out Europe. In 1987 David Barreto was hired to do a pop rock CD in Germany along with other famous musicians such as Bobby Kimball from Toto and Simon Phillips on drums etc. produced by the famous German producer Frank Farian which enjoyed great success thru out Europe. In 1988 He returned to the States and pursued his love for the sun in sunny Florida and continued writing songs and producing music and touring within the States. In 2001 came back to Switzerland and began to sing with the group René Simon & La Iguana. They produced a CD together which is presently being shopped around in some countries. Music has always played a big part in his life. Allthough he likes all kinds of music, he really loves (hard)rock and blues. He enjoys playing the blues harp and is currently learning how to play the guitar. Danny has written lyrics for several Dutch bands, both in English and Dutch, and has many contacts in the music industry in The Netherlands. |
